Why we took her name
Her method needed a teacher for every child. We made it happen.
Her classrooms worked because an adult noticed what each child was ready for, what they already knew, what they were stuck on, and how they took things in. Then that adult prepared the next thing to suit them.
A classroom of thirty can't give every child that attention. It was never a question of whether it worked. It was a question of how many adults you could pay for.
